The State Institute for Drug Control, in cooperation with foreign drug agencies, monitors illegal offers of medicinal products. However, the Internet provides sellers with considerable anonymity, making it impossible to detect and remove all offers.Therefore, the State Institute for Drug Control decided to inform the general public about such websites and warn against purchasing unapproved products.The State Institute for Drug Control warns against purchasing products intended to treat health problems on the websites listed below. Such websites often offer:

• counterfeit and illegal products,
• food supplements to which medicinal properties are unjustifiably attributed,
• preparations not registered in the Czech Republic,
• lmedicines whose registration has been suspended or terminated in European countries or worldwide due to the occurrence of increased health risks,
• medicines that are only available on prescription, taking into account the necessary medical supervision during their use, which can minimize the risks of health complications,
• products without proven quality, effectiveness and therefore with a possible health risk.
